LA CAPILLA REAL DE MADRID RECEIVES THE AWARD OF CIRCLE OF CRITICAL OF ART OF CHILE  The National Circle of Art Critics of Chile has given La Capilla Real de Madrid conducted by Oscar Gershensohn an award for the concert that the group offered during his tour of South America. The concert took place in Santiago, Chile, on August the 9th., 2007 and La Capilla Real de Madrid has received the prize for the best international group presented during this year. Invited by the Mozarteum Argentino to participate in all its branches, the group visited last summer, the Teatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, The Cultural Artistic Society of Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires Coliseum Theater, the Theater Foundation Astengo Rosario, Teatro Solis in Montevideo, the Oriente Theater in Santiago de Chile and the Auditorium of San Juan (Argentina).

BACH CANTATAS
The IV cycle of Music in the Churches of Madrid, which begins next Saturday, October the 27th., offers the opportunity to attend the Royal Church of San Ginés and enjoy the spirituality of Johann Sebastian Bach. The Choir and Orchestra of La Capilla Real de Madrid will also interpret on Sunday, the 28th.-the Cantatas BWV 29, BWV 73, BWV 120, under the direction of Oscar Gershensohn. This fourth delivery cycle gives the privilege to enjoy all the cantatas of Bach almost two hundred-, one of the greatest treasures of European spirituality that were "rescued" -compiled and recorded- in 1971. More than twenty instrumental and vocal groups, specializing in musical repertoires from the early to the contemporary, have established the first Spanish professional association in this field. Their primary objectives are to draw attention to their work, define their role within Spain’s music scene and to promote the recovery, diffusion and performance of Spain’s musical patrimony.
The groups involved in this enterprise come from diverse stylistic and performance backgrounds. They have all achieved considerable artistic success, have won numerous prestigious awards and maintain a high-profile presence at both a national and international level. We inaugurate the third edition of the cycle Music in the Churches - Bach's Cantatas with a double concert in october 7th and 8th. in Parroquia de Santiago el Mayor (c/ de Qiñones – Pza. de las Comendadoras) in wich we will approach the Bach`s Cantatas BWV 37, BWV 64 and BWV 75.
